Rest and help at Casino Moose Jaw

A restful weekend in Moose Jaw keeps the casino to an amount and an hour chosen in advance. If gambling stops feeling like a small part of the stay, help in Saskatchewan answers at any hour of the day or night.

One limit for the weekend

Before you leave the room, decide two things: the amount for Casino Moose Jaw and the hour you will stop. The spa and the meals stay the plan for the weekend. The casino fits around them, not the other way round.

Bring only that amount with you, and leave the bank cards in the room. When the amount is gone, the evening at the casino is over, even if the hour has not come. The casino closes at 4 AM every day of the week, so the floor sets a last stop of its own. Holiday hours are not published; ahead of a long weekend, a call to 1-306-694-3888 settles them.

Who answers, and when

  • Trained counsellors staff the Saskatchewan Problem Gambling Helpline, 1-800-306-6789, at all hours, and every call is kept confidential. Residents pay nothing for counselling through the Saskatchewan Health Authority, and no doctor's referral is required.
  • Inside Casino Moose Jaw, the GameSense Info Centre has staff who explain how the games work, help with Game Break and point people to support. They can be reached at 306-787-2122.
  • Game Break is voluntary self-exclusion from every casino in Saskatchewan, SIGA casinos included, and from PlayNow.com. The term is 6 months or 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 years, it starts at sign-up and it cannot be shortened or removed.
  • Gamblers Anonymous Saskatchewan keeps its hotline open at all hours on 1-855-781-9522.

Questions at the front desk

Can a family member call the helpline?
Families can call, as well as the person who gambles. The Saskatchewan Problem Gambling Helpline, 1-800-306-6789, answers at any hour with trained counsellors, and calls are confidential. Counselling through the Saskatchewan Health Authority is free for residents.
Can Game Break be cut short?
Game Break cannot be shortened or removed once it starts at sign-up. The term chosen, from 6 months up to 5 years, runs to its end. GameSense staff at 306-787-2122 can arrange it, and signing up takes government photo ID with a signature.
Can an excluded person collect a prize?
People who are self-excluded or excluded cannot collect winnings, credits or prizes. Any winnings withheld from them go to the Casino Cares program.
